Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist
Cori received her Masters of Science in Acupuncture from Tri-State College of Acupuncture, is a diplomat certified by NCCAOM, and is licensed by the Georgia Composite Medical Board. Before moving to Savannah she spent five years interning with a master practitioner, Jacqueline Haught, in a busy NYC practice while also building her private practice. She has a background in biology and medical technology and has been working in the medical field for over fifteen years in both clinical settings and research roles. Her work has given her a deep understanding of the mechanism of disease in the human body from a western medical perspective.
The decision to pursue acupuncture came from the desire to practice within a wellness-based healthcare model that focuses on working with the individual’s body to promote healing from and prevent recurrence of injury or illness. As an acupuncturist, Cori utilizes multiple acupuncture styles including Classical Chinese Medicine, Japanese KM Style, Korean Five Element, and Myofascial Trigger Point Release, along with other modalities such as cupping, gua sha, tui na, and moxibustion. This diverse training allows her to assess each patient and use a combination of modalities to create an effective treatment plan. While she is a general practitioner, her special interests are chronic inflammation, adjunct cancer care, immune imbalance, women’s health, and stress management.
Cori strongly supports the integration of Eastern and Western medicine in treating illness to encourage the best possible health. She strives to combine her knowledge of the biological sciences with the philosophies of East Asian Medicine in order to provide holistic care that empowers patients and gives them the tools for deep healing and balanced living.
